Joint demonstrator from Eaton and Bosch Rexroth at the SPS

Eaton evaluates the integration of its products into the ctrlX OS Ecosystem. This means that Eaton's automation portfolio, including the Galileo visualization software, will be made compatible with existing ctrlX OS-based devices from various manufacturers. A joint demonstrator can be experienced live at the SPS trade fair.

With its operating system ctrlX OS, Bosch Rexroth has caused a sensation within the market: The automation specialist has uncoupled the software from its own control hardware and made it available for the industrial environment. Bosch Rexroth is taking the next step as regards freedom and openness: In the past, the real-time-capable, Linux-based operating system was used exclusively on the control system ctrlX CORE. However, it is now available as a separate solution for industrial environments. ctrlX OS can be used on all levels – from the field level to the cloud, and on a range of different hardware.
